Narayana Hrudayalaya MD-Group CEO Ashutosh Raghuvanshi resigns

Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, Managing Director and Group CEO of Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd has tendered his resignation.



Mumbai: Private sector hospital chain Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd has announced that Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman(VC), Managing Director(MD) and Group Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (NH), has tendered his resignation from the services of the company.


Dr Raghuvanshi has decided to move on from NH on personal grounds, after serving the company for 18 years. Dr Raghuvanshi's resignation has been deliberated by the Board of NH and stands accepted.


"Dr Emmanuel Rupert has been appointed MD & Group CEO, to take over from Dr Raghuvanshi," announced the board of NH.


Dr Rupert has been associated with NH since 2000 and has been part of the founding team at NH. He started his career with NH as Sr. Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in the year 2000. Dr Rupert has served as the Group Director - Medical Services since August 2018. Dr Rupert's appointment will be formalised immediately following the relieving of Dr Raghuvanshi from the services of the company.


Mr Viren Shetty has been appointed Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company. Mr Viren Shetty, an MBA from Stanford Business School, has been on the Board of the company in the capacity of an Executive Director and has been Sr. VP – Strategy since 2012.

Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman of the Board, presented his gratitude to Dr Raghuvanshi for his long-standing association with the NH family and wishes him all the very best for his future endeavours.


On behalf of the Board, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty welcomed Dr Emmanuel Rupert and Mr Viren Shetty in their new roles and wished them success in taking the company to greater heights.


Narayana Health is a chain of multi-speciality hospitals, heart centres, and primary care facilities with its headquarters in, Bengaluru, India, founded by Dr Devi Shetty in the year 2000.
