Make in Odisha: government launches Rs 2750 Crore investment in Healthcare
New Delhi: Odisha government has launched the Vision-2025 health care at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018, the flagship biennial global investors' meet of the State.
The government also announced various partnership projects worth over Various partnership projects of Rs. 2,750 crore which shall be rolled out within the next 2-3 years. Later, briefing newsmen on the projects Odisha Health and Family Welfare.
Minister Pratap Jena said as many as 102 digital dispensaries would be set up at a cost of Rs. 90 crore. Already 16 such dispensaries are functioning in Nabarangpur district and two in Keonjhar district.
He said Rs 700 crore will be spent on establishing diagnostic & dialysis services, affordable health care project at 25 locations with an estimated cost of Rs 1300 crore.
A cardiac care centre will be set up at Jharsuguda with an investment of Rs.70 crore and Comprehensive cancer care project will come up at Bhubaneswar at a cost of Rs.600 crore.
The conclave, Mr.Jena said discussed the opportunities to set up manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, equipment, instruments adding that all of these projects entail an approximate investment of Rs 2750 crore in the next 2 to 3 years.
The theme of the session on health care investment was "Universal Health care in Odisha - each life matters" in which the Vision 2025 for the health sector was released by Mr Jena.
The State Government presented its initiatives, schemes, achievements and opportunities for the private sector.
Mission Director, National Health Mission Shalini Pandit deliberated on the key features of "Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana", the flagship scheme on providing cashless services to insured patients.
