Health startup Medcords raises Rs 2.64 crore from Naukri.com owner

New Delhi: Naukri.com owner Info Edge has invested Rs 2.64 crore in digital medical platform Medcords to buy 11.37 percent stake, according to a regulatory filing.
"The company has invested through its wholly-owned subsidiary about Rs 2.64 crore in Medcords Healthcare Solutions Private Limited," Info Edge said in the filing.
Medcords facilitates remote consultations, follow-up consultations with doctors and digitization of user's medical records etc.
"The aggregate shareholding of the company, after this initial investment, in the said entity would be 11.37 percent on fully converted and diluted basis post completion of fund raise exercise with other investors," Info Edge said.
MedCords is a cloud-based, machine-learning powered platform that connects and enables various stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem. It is founded in 2016 to facilitates remote and follow-up consultations with doctors and digitizes users' medical records and makes them available on-demand.
The firm aims to create intellectual property out of medical data and advanced analytics to create efficient healthcare decision systems for doctors, hospitals, and the government. Currently, it has a web-app for doctors and Android apps for pharmacies and patients.
