USFDA completes inspection of Strides Pharma flagship unit in Bengaluru

The flagship facility of Strides Pharma in Bangalore is the largest manufacturing facility for the company with capabilities to produce finished dosage formulation products across multiple dosage formats including tablet, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids.

Bangalore: Strides Pharma Science Limited recently announced that its formulation facility in Bangalore underwent a USFDA inspection which was completed with a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) classification.

The inspection of the facility ended on May 24th, 2019.

"The flagship facility in Bangalore is the largest manufacturing facility for the company with capabilities to produce finished dosage formulation products across multiple dosage formats including tablet, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids. The facility services the key regulated markets of the US, Europe, and Australia," Strides Pharma said in a filing.

Strides Pharma mainly operates in the regulated markets and has an “in Africa for Africa” strategy along with an institutional business to service donor‐funded markets. The Company’s global manufacturing sites are located in India‐ Bangalore (two sites), Pondicherry, and Chennai, Singapore, Italy‐ Milan, and Kenya‐ Nairobi.
