Bangalore: In a shocking incident, a city-based pharmacist has recently been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman inside the medical store, touching her inappropriately and passing indecent comments, under the pretext of examining her skin.

The 33-year old pharmacist has now been booked under the Indian Penal Code Section 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).

The incident took place on October 29 (Tuesday) around 8 o clock in the night when the lady visited the medical store to buy a bar of soap. The duo was alone inside the shop. The lady asked him to give a bar of soap to clear acne. The pharmacist came close pretending to check her skin tone. However, the pharmacist started asking about her personal whereabouts and details, adding that she is a beautiful lady with remarkable features in an absurd manner, thereby, discomforting her.

The woman paid for the soap and asked the pharmacist to give the balance immediately as she was in a hurry. Instead of doing the needful, the pharmacist asked her contact number and suddenly grabbed her arm tightly and pulled her close to him to restrict her from escaping. He then started touching her inappropriately.

The woman managed to free herself and rushed back home. She narrated her ordeal to her spouse. Thereafter, a complaint was registered against him with the Bagalagunte police.
