Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that pharmacists holding allopathic pharmacy diploma and degree would now be able to sell homeopathic medicines in the state.
The decision would benefit about 15,000 pharmacists in the state who were intending to sell these medicines but had no license.
The Minister said that earlier, it was mandatory to have a separate homeopathic license and experienced salesman for selling these medicines.
He said that the Central Government has notified new rules to promote homeopathic medicine system in the country which have been adopted by the Food and Drugs Administration of the state government.
Mr. Vij said that homeopathic medicine manufacturers would have to seal pack the medicines which are available in low quantity.
