DSM India co-funds UNDP COVID19 healthcare initiative to procure and deploy ventilators
Mumbai: Given the acute need to urgently supplement critical hospital equipment in the coming months, DSM India has partnered with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to co-fund and procure electronic ventilators with specifications developed with help from AIIMS. These will be made in India by a qualified manufacturer at a low cost and deployed free of cost in hospitals across the country starting from May. UNDP will also provide training to medical professionals on COVID-19 response through TeleICU nationwide.
"Through this initiative, we will help IMPROVE healthcare facilities across India, ENABLE people to get better treatment and take care of their health, and ADVOCATE for easier and wider access to healthcare during this pandemic and beyond", Release said
