    Payment of fees in Bharatkosh through Sugam portal: CDSCO issues notice

    In order to facilitate the payment of fees by the stakeholders, it has been decided by the Directorate that once the fees are debited from the account of the applicant in the Bharatkosh through Sugam portal, the concerned applicant can upload the documents for further submission and processing of the application.


    New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the apex drug regulator- Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has clarified the procedure to be followed while payment of fees via Bharatkosh Portal, along with the application for grant of various licences/permissions, etc, under Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.


    This came after it was brought to the attention of Directorate of Health Services, that the applicants are facing problems while paying fees through Bharakosh portal. It has been observed that Bharatkosh system takes 2 to 3 days for issuing the receipts in respect of the fees paid despite the fact that the money is debited from the account of the applicant.

    The matter was examined by the Directorate and in order to facilitate the payment of fees by the stakeholders, it has been decided that once the fees are debited from the account of the applicant in the Bharatkosh through Sugam portal, the concerned applicant can upload the following documents for further submission and processing of the application:




    • Proof of the amount debited from his account, and

    • Submit an undertaking that an applicant has paid the fees and if not materialized as successful transaction towards payment of fees, the applicant will pay the fees again.


    It may be mentioned that if the applicants upload the above documents, the application will be considered for further processing by the Directorate.
