Online medical platform, Medikoe, launches social health network WE to address health related queries

Bengaluru : Medikoe, the first online medical platform to provide value-added offers on 360-degree healthcare & wellness products and services, has launched an innovative platform called, ‘WE’. This is for the first time in the world that an online medical platform has come up with a social health network with more than 2000+ content pieces, more than 100 establishments.

The technological advancements in the healthcare sector have led to a seamless integration between healthcare needs of customers and user-friendly and accessible devices. In the same vein, thousands of users have accessed ‘WE’ to avail its novel services. The new roll-out on Medikoe is a combination of Facebook, Pinterest, Quora and BookMyShow for healthcare and wellness. From allowing people to follow leading doctors and physicians, sharing and liking articles, booking an appointment or health package at the click of a button to asking health-related queries and pinning favourite images and videos, ‘WE’ acts like a one-stop destination for patients and doctors to stay connected with each other. Users can search from a wide array of health-related topics, get regular updates on several health campaigns, take up a challenge and invite friends to be a part of this interesting social health network.

Commenting on this new feature, Raman Shukla, Co-Founder, Medikoe said, “A social health network like ‘WE’ provides an opportunity for both the patient and the doctor to speak, listen, understand and learn from one another. With this new service, we believe patients will be able to better educate themselves on health-related topics, share their information with friends, book appointments and clear their queries through a simple procedure'”.

With major breakthroughs and advances in the healthcare sector, the new social health network will help doctors to inspire and motivate people to improve their health literacy and share their experiences. This also provides us an opportunity to build a digitally connected highway connecting all stakeholders in healthcare and wellness vertical, he added.

Launched in October 2015, Medikoe was founded by Raman Shukla & Sreevalsan Menon to enable access to 360 degrees of affordable healthcare & wellness services through a single platform for better user interface experience. The services and offers can be accessed pan India including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in coming months while social platform is open to global users.
