Narayan Seshadri elected AstraZeneca Pharma India Chairman
New Delhi : Drug firm AstraZeneca Pharma India has said its board has elected independent director, Narayan K Seshadri, as chairman of the company.
The board of directors at its meeting on December 2, 2016 has unanimously elected independent director Narayan K Seshadri as chairman of the board, AstraZeneca Pharma India said in a filing to BSE.
He replaces D E Udwadia, who has stepped down as chairman and director, it added. Udwadia had been serving on the company's board for 37 years.
Another two directors, K S Shah and Claire-Marie O'Grady, have also quit as directors from December 2, 2016, it added. "The company has co-opted Revathy Ashok and Greg Mueller as additional directors with immediate effect," AstraZeneca Pharma India said.
The board has also given nod for the company's CFO Rajesh Marwaha joining the board as additional and whole-time director.
