Through this initiative, Lupin aims to bring in global educational material and provide access to the latest developments in the field of gastroenterology in India.

Mumbai: Pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) recently announced an association with the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) for a new initiative ‘The Best of ACG’.

Under the terms of the agreement, ACG will take the best-education materials from the ACG conference and will present it in Kolkata, Bangalore and Delhi in January 2020. Through this initiative, Lupin aims to bring in global educational material and provide access to the latest developments in the field of gastroenterology in India.

The announcement was made by Dr Mark Pochapin, President - ACG, Dr Mahesh Kumar Goenka, India Governor - ACG and Dr Nalini Guda, Prof. Medicine, University of Wisconsin, at the Asian Pacific Digestive Week 2019, which was held at Kolkata recently.

Dr Mark Pochapin, President, ACG commented, “I am pleased to announce, together with my colleagues, an exciting new initiative called ‘The Best of ACG’, made possible by Lupin, our industry partner. We know that not everybody can come to the United States for our annual meeting, so we are taking the best educational material from the ACG conference and presenting it in three different cities in India. For our international ACG members, this will count towards the CME requirement for advancement to ACG fellowship known as FACG. We look forward to seeing you all at ‘The Best of ACG’ in India.”
