Glenmark Baddi unit gets GMP certificate from State Institute for Drug Control

"The European regulator has just issued a certificate of compliance for the facility stating that it complies with the principles and guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) laid down in the directive 2003/94/EC which stipulates the requirements to fulfil GMP recommendations of WHO," Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a regulatory filing.

New Delhi: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Monday said that it's Baddi manufacturing unit has received the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate from European regulator State Institute for Drug Control (SUKL).

"The European regulator has just issued a certificate of compliance for the facility stating that it complies with the principles and guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) laid down in the directive 2003/94/EC which stipulates the requirements to fulfil GMP recommendations of WHO," Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a regulatory filing.

Baddi manufacturing unit of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals was inspected by SUKL in the week of October 21 this year, the filing added.

The company has a presence in the branded generics markets across emerging economies including India. It has 16 manufacturing facilities across five countries and has six R&D centres. The Generics business of Glenmark services the requirements of the US and Western European markets. The API business sells its products in over 80 countries, including the US, various countries in the EU, South America and India.
