DCGI directs all manufacturers to follow guidelines for uploading manufacturing sites and formulations on Sugam portal,details
New Delhi: Communicating to all manufacturers about the Centre for Development for Advanced Computing (CDAC) guidelines for uploading various important details on the SUGAM portal, the Drugs Controller General of India has directed them to follow said guidelines.
Drugs Controller General of India, Dr V G Somani recently approved the guidance sheet furnished by Centre for Development for Advanced Computing (CDAC) to clarify all the drug manufacturers possessing manufacturing licenses to upload information pertinent to their licenses and approved products on SUGAM portal.
Drugmakers have been directed to uploads details of manufacturing site and products data by referring to the guidance sheet furnished by CDAC.
In this regard, a circular has been issued on the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) website that apprises about the uploading of the manufacturing site and product data on SUGAM portal.
"This is with reference to earlier training provided wrt uploading of manufacturing sites, licenses and formulations data on SUGAM portal, itis to clarify that all firms possessing manufacturing licenses (Own/Loan) are required to upload the information wrt their licenses and approved products on SUGAM Portal," stated the circular.

The circular also provided quick steps for the same as;
- Each firm needs to do self-registration for each of its site with unique valid email id through the below-mentioned link
https://cdscoonline.gov.in/CDSCO/UserRegistrationForm
- On submission of the registration form, users need to enter OTP that will be either sent on email/SMS. Once OTP is entered correctly, the user account will be activated and the user will be able to login to SUGAM portal for uploading the data.
- Further, the user needs to update its site address (One time updation), license details and subsequently needs to update its product details against each of the license.

"The information is issued for streamlining the process of upload of the required information on SUGAM," the circular added.
Further, any issues wrt uploading of data may be reported to egov-cell@cdsco.nic.in for quick assistance.
