    Apollo Hospitals Q4 net dips 43 percent to Rs 36 crore

    Apollo Hospitals Q4 net dips 43 percent to Rs 36 crore

    New Delhi: Apollo Hospitals reported 42.6 percent decline in its consolidated profit after tax at Rs 35.7 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2018.


    The healthcare major had posted a net profit of Rs 62.2 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.


    Revenue during the period, however, grew by 14 percent to Rs 2,111 crore as compared with Rs 1,857.2 crore in the January-March period of 2016-17, Apollo Hospitals said in a statement.


    For the year ended March 31, 2018, the company posted a profit after tax of Rs 117.4 crore, down 45.64 percent from Rs 216 crore in 2016-17.


    Revenue for the year rose by 14 percent to Rs 8,243.5 crore during as compared with Rs 7,255.7 crore in 2016-17.


    "We strengthened our position as a responsible healthcare leader with the addition of capacity, augmentation of clinical offerings, wider adoption of new technology even as we witnessed deeper acceptance of new formats by patients," Apollo Hospitals Chairman Prathap C Reddy said.


    Along with this, the healthcare provider was able to register stronger growth from newer facilities, he added.


    The company's board recommended a dividend of Rs 5 per share of face value of Rs 5 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2018.
