    Andhra Pradesh best destination for pharma units: Minister

    Andhra Pradesh best destination for pharma units: Minister

    Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh is the best destination in the country to set up pharma industries as the State Government has devised policies conducive for such units, Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said.


    Several companies have evinced interest to set up their units in the State due to the Governments investor- friendly policies, he said.


    Rao was speaking was after inaugurating the 68th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) at the Andhra University Grounds here.


    Andhra Pradesh is the best destination in the country to set up pharma industries as it has put in place policies which are suitable for the key sector, he said.


    He said Visakhapatnam -- the biggest city in the State after Hyderabad -- would become a pharma hub in future as several companies in the health sector have expressed willingness to set up their facilities here.


    Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, was growing at a fast pace and recently adjudged the best state in term of ease of doing business, he said.


    Rao said Naidu would meet CEOs of over 100 pharma companies and also health experts during his visit to the city tomorrow. During the meeting, he will showcase business potential of the State.
