Star Health crosses Rs 2,000 crore Gross Written Premium in 2015-16
Chennai: Private health insurer Star Health and Allied Insurance has crossed Gross Written Premium (GWP) of Rs 2,000 crore in 2015-16, up by 36 per cent over the same period last year.
The company had clocked Rs 1,470 crore worth of GWP in 2014-15, the city-based company said.
"We are extremely happy and motivated to see the trust reposed by our customers in our products and service standards and claim processing capabilities", Star Health and Allied Insurance, Senior Vice President, Anand Roy said.
"This achievement shows Star Health's wide acceptance among the public", he said.
Star Health and Allied Insurance has 300 offices and is networked to more than 7,600 hospitals across India.
