Rajasthan to get nation’s first Indian Medical Device Park
New Delhi: Managing Director of Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) Mugdha Sinha announced that there is a proposal to develop country’s first Indian Medical Device Park in Kolila Joga village near Nimrana Export Promotion Industrial Park in Rajasthan.
The announcement was made at a one-day business meeting organised in collaboration with FICCI in New Delhi.
More than 150 delegates from Delhi- NCR and foreign companies participated in the business meet.
In a meeting, Sinha informed that after developing the park, medical devices will be easily available at affordable rates in the country.
At present 90 percent of the equipment, including stents for heart patients, are imported from abroad.
