HealthCare at HOME launches Care Connect Program in Punjab

Delhi: HealthCare at HOME India Pvt Ltd (HCAH), a joint venture between the Burman family (the promoters of Dabur) and founders of Health Care At Home, UK; recently started the ‘Care Connect Program’ across Punjab, a first of its kind nursing engagement program aimed to train the nursing community in various facets of health care delivery reached Delhi.


A workshop highlighting the topic ‘Stay focused on continuous clinical quality Improvement’ was organized in BLK Hospital which was attended by over 75 nurses representing various disciplines of medical delivery from the hospitals. The workshop was envisaged to empower the nursing community in India with the right technical training and a holistic knowledge base which will place them at par with global standards of care delivery. This will not only increase their inherent technical skill but also increase their avenues of employability in the sector.


The workshop which was spearheaded by Ms. Bridget Harrison, Head of Clinical Excellence, HealthCare at HOME INDIA and Ms. Usha Prabhakar, Senior Head of Nursing Services at HealthCare at HOME India addressed a variety of concerns relating to clinical quality, excellence in medical care related concerns, fundamental standards of care, patient safety and satisfaction, corrective and preventive actions to ensure protocol led delivery, the need for well rounded internal & external surveillance audits and many more.


Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Bridget Harrison, Head of Clinical Excellence at HealthCare at HOME India remarked, “Nurses form an instrumental part of the any patient’s healthcare delivery plan. From a patient’s inception to discharge, nurses occupy a vital role in conceptualizing as well as the execution of the ideal care plan. By providing nurses in India with the right technical training, we are trying to bring them at par with clinical and care standards that are practised across the world.”


Speaking about the program, Dr. Gaurav Thukral, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head at HealthCare at HOME India, said, “We are delighted to announce the commencement of the ‘Care Connect Program and hope in the future too we are able to organize many such more training sessions for our beloved nurses. By way of this program, we aim to train as many nurses as we can to ensure that they feel confident, comfortable, well -informed and wholly empowered to tackle any situation in patient care delivery. This will not only enhance skill sets amongst existing nurses but also help attract more talent towards the health care delivery sector.”
