Nagpur : Sun Pharma employees call it strike

Nagpur:A group of Sun Pharma employees are on a strike against alleged illegal transfer of 54 employees and withholding of salary and expenses of another 55 for the past 9 months at hotel Pride.

Talking to 'Nagpur Today' President of Maharashtra Sales and Medical Representatives Association Vishal Joshi said the company's projection of itself was not its true image.

Staging a dharna outside Hotel Pride where a meeting of senior divisional heads of the company and management was on Mr. Joshi stated that the dissatisfied employees of the company had filed a case in the industrial court too. The hearing of the case in the High Court had resulted in a directive by the court to the industrial court to reach a solution within 6 months.

According to Mr. Joshi, the High Court had also directed the company to cancel the transfer orders with immediate effect and reinstate all 55 employees in the original positions in the headquarters.
