CT scanner at KGS Scans, Madurai Siemens Healthineers installs first SOMATOM go

KGS Advanced MRI and CT Scans a Madurai based diagnostic hub installed Siemens Healthineer’s state-of-the-art SOMATOM go. Now- 32 slice CT scanner at its centre. This is , one of the first three units installed in the World.

Siemens Healthineers had recently showcased its SOMATOM go.platform CT scanners and MAGNETOM Sempra 1.5 T MRI scanner at the 70th Annual Congress of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA) 2017, Jaipur.

The SOMATOM go.Now- 32 slice CT scanner can be controlled via a tablet, which enables high level of flexibility to the users and paves the way for an entirely new, mobile workflow. The users can run the scan with just a few inputs and Automated post-processing makes it even easier to operate the scanner. Therefore staff with a lower level of training can also carry out the examinations in emergencies during a night shift. The standardization of the equipment also assures radiologists with regard to the diagnostic quality of the images and helps avoid errors in all cases of trauma, orthopedics, or oncology.The patient is not required to undergo procedure repeatedly thereby saving discomfort of waiting .
