Celes Care Raises Rs. 1.5m dollars in Pre-A series Funding

Celes Care, a Hyderabad base healthcare start up has launched first Indian virtual healthcare clinic for women. With announcement of the new opening the company officials has also informed about its Rs. 1.5 million dollars in pre -A series funding, reports Hindu.

The healthcare startup was launched in December 2015 by Raghu Bhatina, an entrepreneur from Silicon Valley and Dr Rajesh Vikramaditya Koppala.

Celes Care aims to provide women of all ages with telehealth services delivered through medical professionals in their team. Some of the significant women health issues addressed by the online service include fertility, pregnancy, thyroid, PCOS and menopause, among others. Currently with 15 doctors on board, the company expects to expand the team size to 50 by end of 2017.

Speaking with ET, chief executive of Celes Care, Raghu Bathina said, “In today’s stress filled society and workplace, women must have an avenue where they can get their health issues addressed, conveniently and privately."

“Given that many medical issues can be handled via telehealth, Celes aims to provide instant, affordable and accessible healthcare with the best clinical practices," said Dr Rajah Koppala, Co-founder of Celes Care.

Commenting on the investment, Venkatadri Bobba from Ventureast said: “Digital health is radically increasing in the country. In the next 10 years, Digital Health Services will be leading the economy. Talking about importance of their virtual healthcare clinic in the present advance technological, Dr Ramesh Byrapaneni, managing director of Celes said, “With increasing availability of smart phones and connectivity, this is the ideal time even for the government to push telehealth soluitions and allow e-prescriptions.”
