There has been a lots of confusion among drug companies, distributors, and chemists after implementation of GST on 1st July 2017 regarding pricing of medicines and stocks of medicines having old MRP. After receiving representations from FICCI another organizations, CDSCO had allowed restickering/relabelling of old stocks vide its Notice of dated the 10th July, 2017 to facilitate all the stake holders for smooth implementation of GST.

Going a step ahead, Government of India, Directorate General of Health Services, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has now decided to set- up a GST Helpdesk in CDSCO(HQ) for facilitation of the stakeholders in clarifying various issues relating to provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules made thereunder.
The Helpdesk will consist of following officers :
