CDSCO to create forum to discuss various issue pertaining to drug regulations

New Delhi: Through an office order dated 14th March 2018, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India has decided to constitute Indian Drug/Pharmaceuticals Association Forum for Drug Controller General of India to meet pharmaceutical associations regularly regarding the various issues.


The order states that two representatives each (President/Chairman and Secretary/General Secretary) of each Association will be invited for the discussion with Drug Controller General of India every quarter on various issues pertaining to CDSCO.


The different associations that are to participate in the forum are:

  1. Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance

  2. Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association

  3. Bulk Drugs Manufacturers Association

  4. Federation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs

  5. Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry

  6. Laghu Bhartiya Udyog


The order further states that the invitation to these meetings shall strictly be by name and only the nominated personnel shall be allowed to attend the meeting. Subject experts from the association may be allowed in the meeting with prior permission only.
