Apollo Munich Health Insurance launches Cancer Plan 'iCan'

Hyderabad: Apollo Munich Health Insurance, a private health insurer, has recently launched a comprehensive Cancer plan known as 'iCan'.

The salient features of 'iCan' is that it provides lifelong coverage plan and comes with an annual renewal policy year-after-year even after the claim, Dr Nandini Ali, Chief Marketing Officer, Apollo Munich Health Insurance, during the launch event, said.
Also, a unique aspect of this product is that it provides a combination of both 'indemnity' and 'benefits' under the same offering, she explained and said the company has so far released 20 more health-related insurance products.

The plan comes with features such as CritiCare and FamilyCare, where the policyholder gets 60 per cent of the sum insured a lump sum payment on diagnosis of cancer, and 100 per cent on the diagnosis of advanced stages or recurrence of cancer, which is in addition to hospitalisation costs, she claimed.

Anyone in the family between the age of 5-65 is eligible to buy this policy coverage ranges from 5 lakh to 50 lakh, she said that in addition to coverage under the Standard plan, advanced treatments like Proton beam therapy – would also be covered under this plan, she added.

Apollo Munich, a joint venture between the Apollo Hospitals Group, one of Asia's largest healthcare group and Munich health, Munich Re's health business segment which offers global health insurance and reinsurance excellence.
