Akum Drugs, Lupin, DRL bags India Pharma Award 2019; Details

The awards will be conferred during the India Pharma 2019 and India Medical Device 2019 to be held on 18^th February 2019.

New Delhi: Various Pharmaceutical Industries and Laboratories in India will soon be awarded in ‘India Pharma 2019 and India Medical Device 2019’, a major event to increase overall growth of the Pharma sector including exports and focus on increase of Domestic production in the sector by Government of India & FICCI, with the active participation from all stakeholders.

The government of India recently notified about the list of 4^th India Pharma and Medical Device Award signed by Under Secretary, H. K Mallick. The awards will be conferred during the India Pharma 2019 and India Medical Device 2019 to be held on 18^th February 2019.

The ceremony would take place at The Lalit Ashok Kumara Krupa, High Grounds, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The name of the winners in category- “India Pharma Swachhta Champion Award’ will be intimated in due course.

The list of winners of 4^th India Pharma and Medical Device Award include drug majors, Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Lupin Limited, Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd and Poly Medicure Ltd.

The Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals has bagged the India Pharma Leader Award for the year 2019. Akums is India’s Contract Research and Manufacturing (CRAMS) organization responsible for manufacturing approximately 11-12 % of all drugs consumed in the country. The organization offers a comprehensive range of services starting from formulation development to market launch all en suite.

Mumbai based Lupin has secured the India Pharma Innovation of the Year Award. The company is the 12th-largest company by market capitalization and the eighth-largest generic pharmaceutical company by revenue globally. The company’s key focus areas include paediatrics, cardiovascular, anti-infectives, diabetology, asthma and anti-tuberculosis.

India Pharma Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme of the Year Award is bagged by Dr Reddy's Lab. Based in Hyderabad, the company was founded by Anji Reddy. Dr Reddy's manufactures and markets a wide range of pharmaceuticals in India and overseas. The company has over 190 medications, 60 active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for drug manufacture, diagnostic kits, critical care, and biotechnology products.

Poly Medicure Ltd has secured the India Medical Devices Company of the Year Award. Promoted by Shree J K Baid, Shree Himanshu Baid, Shree B R Mehta, Shree Rishi Baid, Poly Medicure Limited was incorporated on 30th Mar 1995.

INDIA PHARMA 2019 covers the whole process of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, from various kind of manufacturing/processing types of machinery to Lab Equipment, Analytical Instruments, APIs and other total solutions. The event will provide a platform to a global investment community to connect with stakeholders in Pharma sector in India, Central and State Governments, leading business leaders and top executives from the industry, academics and experts from the world.
