Abbott India Q4 net dips 29 per cent to Rs 42 crore

New Delhi: Pharma firm Abbott India on Friday reported a 28.69 per cent plunge in standalone net profit to Rs 42.06 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017.


The company had posted a net profit of Rs 58.99 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Abbott India said in a filing to BSE.


Total income for the quarter under consideration, however, rose to Rs 730.87 crore as against Rs 702.39 crore for the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March this year the net profit stood at Rs 276.65 crore, compared to Rs 255.25 crore a year ago.



Total income of the company for the fiscal year ended March 2017 was Rs 2,996.33 crore as against Rs 2,696.23 crore in the previous fiscal year.


In a separate filing, the company said its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 40 per equity share.


Shares of Abbott India closed at Rs 4,194.95 per scrip on BSE, down 0.24 per cent from its previous close.
